Transitioning your Wardrobe for Fall

DETAILS: MISA Los Angeles sweater more affordable, similar option here and here // One Teaspoon denim shorts // tan suede mules (similar) // Brixton fedora // watch c/o Barbas and Zacari

Can we take a moment and talk about how quickly this year is flying/has flown by?? The fact that we are already heading into September is somewhat mind-blowing! I’m not complaining though because I always look forward to the cooler temps that the fall months bring and the fashion transition that comes with them.

When it comes to picking out pieces for my fall wardrobe I tend to stay pretty neutral because (duh) what else would I do?! And also I love versatile pieces that I can style multiple ways. I keep my look pretty classic most of the time so that it’s not necessary to build an entirely new collection year over year. That being said this sweater is a recent addition to my fall wardrobe and I couldn’t be happier with it. I love that it adds flair to my look but is still super neutral because of the cream color. I already know that this sweater will be one that I’ll get tons of use out of and be able to style so many ways.

For this outfit I paired it with my favorite distressed denim shorts since we’re still experiencing hot, humid weather on the East coast and I have to remain realistic and practical about what I can and cannot wear at this point in the season. I know…practicality. Such a boring concept. But jokes aside, I love that this top looks adorable with shorts as well as jeans later in the year.

Hopefully after reading this post you feel inspired to start pulling out those cool(er) weather pieces & lighting all the pumpkin scented candles! 😉

Xx,

Megan
