Casual Winter Look

Outfit details: Sweater (old, similar here and here) // Jeans // Slides

Is it just me or is January flying by? Between trying to keep up with workouts and eating healthy (hello, #newyearnewme), the crazy (snowy/icey/very wintery) weather and just general post-holiday scaries it’s been a whirlwind to say the least. So, I try to keep my style easy and wear pieces that can be layered with ALL the coats, scarves, etc. So today’s post is a casual winter look that can easily be replicated with pieces you probably already have in your wardrobe! If you catch me on any random day, odds are I’ll be wearing some variation of this outfit.

This sweater is one I picked up years ago from Express and it’s one of those purchases that you make and don’t realize at the time just how much wear you’ll get out of it. You simply can’t go wrong with a cream, cable knit sweater and I love the lace-up details!

Can we take a moment and talk about these jeans. I feel like I’ve been keeping a secret, because you guys…these are from Abercrombie & Fitch. Say whaaaa? I never thought I’d find myself shopping there post high school graduation but they are having a major comeback. I was blown away with the quality of these jeans and the fit and also love that they’ve made their branding and logos way more subtle. Also, the destroyed hems on these are such a fun detail. Bottom line- if you’re looking for a new pair of boyfriend, distressed jeans then you need these!

If you haven’t taken the plunge and bought a pair of slides yet then you are truly missing out. I seriously wear mine constantly because they are so incredibly easy + chic. I’ll admit they aren’t the most practical option for the snowy weather we’ve had on the East coast lately but when we do have those (very rare) decent days I will almost always pull these babies out. The fur-lined ones I’m wearing here are seriously my favorites.

Hope you enjoyed this little breakdown of my casual winter OOTD and thanks for stopping by!
